NESTON teenager Adam Jamieson is poised for his England U20 debut in France tonight.

The 19-year-old tighthead prop has been named on the bench for the reigning champions’ opener at the Stade Leo Lagrange in Draguignan, a week after helping England Students to a 30-16 win over the full Portuguese national side.

The Bath Academy youngster was a member of the Bath United squad that lifted the Aviva A League title late last year and also featured against his idol – former Bath and now-Saracens prop Matt Stevens – while on loan with Welsh region the Scarlets in the LV= Cup in November.

Ex-Corsham School pupil, Jamieson, who coaches Corsham’s U16s, is a student at the University of Bath and lives in Neston with mum Julie, brother Ben and dad Kev, who said: “His goal is to play for Bath and it’s a great step for him to get into the England U20s team –  we are all extremely proud of his achievements.”

Jamieson is one of four Bath players included in England’s squad tonight.
