TROWBRIDGE secured a ten-try bonus-point win over their local rivals despite the game being played in the teeth of a gale at Doric Park.

Sam McQueen’s first try for Trowbridge opened the scoring for the hosts and, although the conversion was missed, it was not long before Jackson Szabo got the first of his two tries.

Lloyd Davis landed the extras and the next score came from a set-piece forward pushover, allowing Mark Durant to dot the ball down, Davis again adding the extras.

Szabo’s second try saw him score under the posts, Davis again making no mistake with the conversion,.

To round off the first half, Alan Chadwick crossed for an unconverted try.

Trowbridge started the second half trying to run the ball around, with forwards and backs linking well despite the poor conditions.

Joe Knight got try number six, Davis converting, before the next try came from prop Sam Edwards, crashing through the visitors’ forwards to go under the posts.

Davis was again successful with the conversion and Tom Coombs added his first try for the hosts at senior level.

Scott Williams touched down from the base of the scrum, Davis adding the two points, and wing James MacFarlane added the final score, Davis converting.
