DIVISION Two leaders Miller Sports A threw away a glorious chance to extend their lead at the summit.

With both of their nearest rivals in the promotion race missing out on a fixture, Mike Stevens' side visited Fortune Inn who they had beaten 4-2 back in September.

But on the 3G pitch at Stanley Park a 3-2 win for Fortune not only saw them avenge their earlier loss but it all throws the promotion race wide open.

Craig Archard fired Fortune ahead and Ryan Kubulius made it 2-0 at the break. Dave Jenkins pulled a goal back for Miller only for Joe Hylands to reclaim a two-goal lead for the home side.

A second from Jenkins kept Miller in the game but they were unable to fashion an equaliser as they suffered only their second loss in 11 games.

Sutton Benger 2 Talbot 1

SUTTON Benger gave up home advantage and played at the Talbot FC for a second time this campaign. After beating the Calne-based side at the start of the season their following up their 5-3 success with a much closer 2-1 win.

Benger scored first through Nathan Farrell but Talbot were level before the interval with George Bettles squaring things up.

Benger got the winner late on courtesy of Luke Watson’s fifth goal of that season that ended a four-match winless league run for the villagers.
