BATH coach Toby Booth says his side will be stepping up to “another level altogether’’ as they try to lower the colours of Saracens at the Rec tonight (7.45pm).

The second-placed London side are one of the favourites for the Aviva Premiership title and have lost only once away from home in the league this season – at leaders Northampton in October.

Bath are defending an unbeaten record at the Rec this season and Booth admits tonight’s fixture is likely to be the fiercest test yet of that proud run.

“The table doesn’t lie in that regard,’’ said Booth of the threat posed by Saracens.

“This is another level altogether for us, but at the same time it’s a massive opportunity for us to see how far we’ve come this season.

“They are one of the Premiership favourites for a reason and the way they play makes it very difficult for you.

“It’s going to be a real challenge, but at the same time it’s a challenge that we’re really looking forward to.

“They are tough to beat and play a very high pressure game. They kick the ball a lot and ask questions of whether you can deal with that.

“We’ve positioned ourselves well (in the table) so far, but there is plenty of work still to do.’’

Back row Matt Garvey and wing Anthony Watson came off during the win over Wasps last weekend, but remain in contention tonight, although flanker Carl Fearns is still missing with a hamstring problem.

George Ford and Dave Attwood return from England duty to feature, but prop David Wilson will sit it out.
