DIVISION One leaders Prestige Bodyworks face a possible banana skin to their promotion hopes in the guise of Bromham (Sunday) this weekend when they sides square up at New Road.

One-time leaders Bromham have slipped down the table to third place and with just two wins from their last five matches look to have lost some of their early-season sparkle.

However, Danny Powell’s side shouldn’t be written off.

Bottom of the table Chippenham West End are due to host a Staverton FC side who are down in fourth spot, but who still have an outside chance of nicking a top two placing.

West End, who have yet to win this season, suffered a 4-2 loss when the sides met in December.

Corsham CC Wildcats may not have played since they destroyed Staverton over a month ago, but manager Scott Fleming will look to his team to hit the goal trail when they travel to fellow cricketers Goatacre CC, who are looking to end a five-match winless run.

This will be the first time the teams have met this season and if things go to form then it should be the Wildcats who chalk up victory.

Should results go their way, second-placed Somerford could find themselves top of the table come Sunday afternoon.

Spike Chandler’s side are on the road at North Star A and although the hosts have lost just once in four games, the visitors to Beversbrook have suffered just one loss in their 10 matches.
