Goatacre CC 3 Corsham CC Wildcats 5

AFTER taking a 3-2 lead at home to Corsham CC Wildcats fellow cricketers’ Goatacre CC looked to be on course to end a five-match winless run.

But it wasn’t too be as a second-half revival from Scott Fleming’s side saw them hit back to win 5-3.

Corsham went ahead thanks to a spectacular 40 yard strike from manager Fleming. Ross Crichton leveled for Goatacre and Darren Holcombe gave them a 2-1 lead only for Adam Mitchell to draw the visitors level.

However, Goatacre were to net before the break to lead 3-2 with Kieron Gleed finding the net.

The second half belonged to the Wildcats and they got themselves all-square thanks to a second of the game from Adam Mitchell that took his tally for the season to 21.

A deflected Dan King effort put the Wildcats back ahead and a second from King that took him one behind strike partner Mitchell in the scoring charts made up the winners nap-hand.
