WESTBURY’S impressive revival continued as they strung together back-to-back wins for the first time since the opening weeks of the season.

The home side’s confidence was high following thei victory over former league leaders Blandford the previous week but they started badly, North Dorset taking a 10-point lead just nine minutes into the game and retaining their advantage until the interval.

As against Blandford though, Westbury’s second-half effort earned them the points as strong carries from prop Daniel Haines drove them forward.

Winger Simon Rose capitalised on a North Dorset error to race in for a try, which Jack Brooks converted.

Westbury then took the lead when Brooks raced in under the posts following good handling by fly-half Aaron Vaughan and centre Duncan Weir, Brooks converted.

The hosts had to absorb pressure which was relieved by scrum-half Alex Browns clearance kick.

Rose chased an when the kick was allowed to bounce he gathered and sprinted in from the halfway line for his second try, Brooks again converting.

Brooks added a further penalty and, despite losing Simon Higgins to the sin-bin, they closed out the match.
