FROME Town have snapped up a deadline day signing by bringing in winger Jamal Branker on loan from Premier League Southampton.

The 19-year-old, who is a part of Southampton's development squad, has also had a loan spell at AFC Totton this season and joins ahead of the Calor League's transfer and registration deadline of 5pm this afternoon.

Branker once scored nine goals for the Saints in a youth game against Reading.

Meanwhile, Robins boss Adrian Foster has waived a seven-day approach from Paulton Rovers for Dean Flockton, with the defender's registration set to switch to the Division One South and West outfit today.

Flockton left the Frome squad earlier this season and had a spell under former Badgers Hill chief Darren Perrin at Toolstation League Melksham Town.

Meanwhile, league sponsors Calor have confirmed their intention to end their sponsorship of the Southern League after just one season.
