TROWBRIDGE secured their Southern Counties play-off slot in emphatic style.

Walcot opened the scoring after five minutes play with a Mick Sheppard penalty, but Trowbridge piled on the pressure and sent Tom Weaver in for the first score, Lloyd Davis adding the extras.

Another Sheppard penalty went over for for the home side, but Scott Williams scored the first of his three tries, Davis converting.

With Trowbridge dominant in the scrums it was not long before captain Matt Howard got on the scoresheet, converted by Davis, before Jackson Szabo crossed score the first two of his four efforts.

Davis converted both for a 33-6 interval lead.

Walcot started the second half at pace forcing the visitors back until Tom Mitchell crashed through to score under the posts, Sheppard converting.

But Trowbridge won the ball back from the restart, their forwards breaking free to put prop Lee Fairclough in for a try out wide.

Weaver, taking over the kicking duties from Lloyd Davis missed the conversion, but the scoring continued as James Davies touched down.

Williams got his second, Weaver adding the extras and at the next scrum Kyle Knight stole the ball from the base and scored down the blind side.

Szabo then added his third, Weaver landing the next two points before the next two scores came from James Macfarlane both converted by Davis.

Williams ran in for his third, Davis again successful and Szabo his foutrh, the final score of the game coming from Mark Durant, with Davis converting both.
