WITH the top two places in Division Three already sorted, United FC moved into third place thanks to a resounding 6-1 victory over rivals Polenez Westbury on their own home at Clarendon Academy.

When the teams met earlier in the season they fought out a 1-1 draw, but United went into the game knowing that they couldn’t afford another slip if they were to keep alive their hopes of possible promotion to Division Two.

Daniel Wosik put United ahead but later went off injured but it was his replacement Adam Wiorek who added their second when his cross eluded everyone and found the back of the Polenez net.

United continued to turn the screw in the second period and two goals for Jozef Zapotoczny put them four up. Marcin Kaminski added number five for United and Shavon Allen completed the scoring when he fired home number six to finish the game with a goal that his efforts deserved.

Modou Abraham scored the Polenez consolation.
