MELKSHAM Cosmos, who have topped the Division Three table since the second week of the season, will be glad for a return to action after missing out for the last fortnight.

In that time they have seen Sportzcoach cut their lead at the top to just three points.

Next up for Cosmos are local rivals Pig & Whistle United and the match at Awdry Avenue has upset written all over it.

United, who narrowly lost the first meeting 4-3, have suffered defeat in just one of their last seven games.

Christian Malford know that the only team who can deny them a third place finish are North Star B so when they teams go head-to-head this weekend Malford, who are now unbeaten in 11 matches, will be looking for a victory that will secure them third spot.

With the battle to become champions likely to go to the final day of the season, the fight to remain in the division is also looking as if it will go to the wire.

Any two from six sides are in danger of relegation. Bottom of the table Worton & Cheverell will be looking to end their six-match winless run when they visit a Crossblades side who are just out of the drop zone thanks to a better goal difference than the Wren.

Sportzcoach Dragonz United may have beaten Trowbridge Town Supporters Club 6-0 a little over a week ago but they won’t take anything for granted when they host Kevin Williams side in the reverse match at Stanley Park.

The hosts need just four goals to reach the 100 mark for the season and top scorer Dan Moore needs four more to reach his half century for the campaign.
