HAVING already secured the Division Two title, FC Buscots' hopes of finishing the campaign with an unbeaten record were ended as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of local rivals Potterne CFC.
Buscots' 32-match unbeaten run was shattered, despite the champions taking the lead courtesy of a stunning 30-yard volley from Jake Waters. C
But Craig Townsend restored parity for Potterne with a crisp left-footed finish following a corner and Wayne House put the villagers ahead on the stroke of half-time.
After the break, Phil Little had chances for Buscots before and after Craig Townsend had scored his second and Potterne’s third, with Townsend making it 3-1 when he scored from the penalty spot after Nick Oram had brought down Ben Mason.
