IT WAS a case of David verses Goliath as Division Three champions White Horse FC, who have won all of their 15 league games to date, squared up to basement side The Stiffs, who, after the withdrawal of Drummer Boy, were still looking for their first win of the season.

White Horse, who had beaten the Stiffs 8-0 just a few weeks ago, were in no mood to miss out on a sixteenth straight win and although the Stiffs back line held out for 30 minutes, they were eventually breached nine times as White Horse finished their season with a 9-1 win.

After breaking the deadlock through Kane Scott, Dan Cox added a second for White Horse prior to half-time and a penalty from Stuart Barber put them 3-0 up at the interval.

Matt Mead added goal number four and Cox completed his hat-trick with goals five and six, although his second of the afternoon was deflected in by Chris Giles.

Stuart Barber’s second penalty of the game made it 7-0 and Sam Gooding's two late goals made up the White Horse tally, although the unfortunate Giles can also claim an assist on Gooding’s first of the game, which was also his first of the season.

Scott Ball grabbed The Stiffs' consolation on 85 minutes.
