SPORTZCOACH Dragonz United, who will also be in action tonight, kept their chances of winning the Division Three title very much alive after they overcame a potential banana skin in Old Road FC, who went into the game at Stanley Park needing the points to aid their hopes of survival.

Old Road were blown away by their dominant guests who, after a storming first-half performance which saw them open up a 5-0 lead, slowed up in the second half as they coasted to a 7-1 win.

Dan Moore set Sportzcoach on their way, Lee Clark made it 2-0 before Moore scored his second of the evening. Dean Shaw added number four and Joe Clayton found the target before the break to make it 5-0.

After the break a third of the game from Dan Moore took his tally for the season to 51 and a second for Shaw for an assist from Joe Hargreaves made up the winners' seven.

Tom Linacre scored a late consolation for Old Road.

Christian Malford 4 Trowbridge Town Supporters Club 3

DESPITE taking a 2-0 and 4-1 lead over Trowbridge Town Supporters Club, Grant Christie’s Christian Malford side were left hanging on at the end as Kevin Williams side fought back, but lost out in a seven-goal thriller as Malford held on to claim a 4-3 win.

A first goal of the season for Shahram Hemmati gave Malford the lead, Scott Evens doubled the villagers advantage before Dave Strickland pulled a goal back for the supporters’ club.

After the break, goals for Rob Lowe and a second from Hemmati looked to have sealed a comfortable victory for the hosts.

But Dave Grandy and then John Williams dragged the supporters’ back into the contest and they were unlucky not to get a draw from the game as Strickland struck the post and John Williams had a goalbound effort cleared off the line.
