BATH Road went into their penultimate game of the season needing to win one of their last two matches to deny Oakhill FC the runners-up spot in Division Four.

With champions Corsham Centre Youth awaiting them in their final game of the season, they knew their best chance of getting the three points they were after would be to beat Cross Keys Rowde at Stanley Park.

Bath Road made an impressive start and went one up when Luke Jones headed home from close range but their hopes of finishing second were dealt a huge blow as Rowde fought back to claim a 2-1 win.

Ashley Armstrong restored parity prior to half time and a 30 yard stunner from player-manager Josh Scott sealed victory for the villagers.
