TROWBRIDGE coach Steve Ojomoh expressed his satisfaction at a job well done as the club returned to level six rugby for the first time in four years.

Ojomoh's men, who travel to Twickenham for next Sunday's RFU Intermediate Cup final against Leek, wrote another chapter in their fairytale first season at their new Doric Park home, by clinching promotion to South West level wth a 27-19 victory over Buckinghamshire's Aylesbury.

Trowbridge booked themselves a season of appointments against the likes of county rivals Chippenham, Devizes and Swindon next term as tries from Barry Coombs, Jackson Szabo and a penalty try helped them battle back from 14-0 down to secure their prize.

Ojomoh, who despite his club's imminent dream day out at the home of English rugby had consistently maintained that this was the number one target, said: "This is what we set out for all season and we've achieved that and it feels very, very satisfying.

"I always thought this is where this club belongs - at a minimum. We need to be there. Everything is set off the field and we've talked about it that we, as players, need to do our bit.

"We've got one more game nowand then we'll sit down and start planning for next year. This was the one and it feels great.''

Ojomoh admitted his side weren't at their best as they had to dig deep to see off the Aylesbury challenge, but insisted he felt relatively comfortable through a tough contest.

"It's 'cup' rugby and it's about winning any which way,'' he added. "We know the wind and the slope here is worth 15 points so we're happy to play against the wind and, if we're a couple of points down, we're thinking 'let's go'.

"I was comfortable, but what worried me a little bit was that even while we were still in touch, we never settled all game.

"That's credit to them (Aylesbury). These guys are experienced guys and they've played together a lot but they panicked a little bit. That's what pressure rugby does.

"What I want us to do now is enjoy this week and what it brings and then go to Twickenham and perform, with no pressure.''
