A 5-3 VICTORY for Somerford at Division One champions Prestige Bodyworks means that Spike Chandler’s side can afford to lose next week's final game of the season away to White Horse by eight clear goals.
Any more than that and then the runners up spot in Division One could go to Clive Black’s men.
With the title already in the bag, Prestige, who beat their opponents 4-3 just a few weeks ago, opted to play players out of position which was always going to work in favour of Somerford who led 4-2 at the break courtesy of goals from Lee Fernandez twice, Chris Yeo and Ashley Monaghan.
Adam O’Keeffe and Stuart Field scored for Prestige.
The second half saw the match played in more of a carnival atmosphere, with players shooting from all over the park and the woodwork being rattled by both sides who were happy to go through the motions.
Adam O’Keeffe scored a late third for Prestige but this only came after a third from Fernandez saw him complete his hat-trick and take what was a must-win three points for Somerford.
