THE county men’s U25 side will be looking to maintain their good start to the season when they face Worcestershire at St Dunstan’s Bowls Club (Worcester) in the first round of the White Rose Trophy, national U25 double rinks competition on Sunday.
Wiltshire have won both of their matches to date and lifted the Four Counties U25 Bowls Festival Trophy two weeks ago at Keynsham.
They have a good record in the Trophy, reaching the semi-finals at Worthing in 2011 and 2013.
Wiltshire beat Worcestershire 46-40 on their way to Worthing last year and team manager Adam Tanner’s side shows two changes to the one that lost in last year’s semi-final.
Tom Walkley (Wootton Bassett) and Wayne Snook (Holt) are now over-age so replacing them are Bassett’s Kyle Anderson and Westlecot’s Mike Titcombe Junior.
TEAM
Rink 1: Gary Jackson, Mike Titcombe, Paul Stokes & Mike Richards (all Westlecot).
Rink 2: Tom Warner (Amesbury), Craig Hatherall (W’lecot), Kyle Anderson (Wootton Bassett) & Nick Revell (Amesbury).
Reserves: Matt Daniell (WB) and Craig Morphet (Highworth).
