MARK Collier will keep one eye on the ‘fallout’ from other clubs after adding two more players to his Chippenham Town squad this week.

Collier signed right-back Ellis Dunton from Southern League Premier Division rivals Cirencester Town, while forward Luke Ballinger rejoined the Hardenhuish Park set-up.

The Bluebirds players begin pre-season training next week and Collier is content with the make-up of his squad ahead of the next Southern League Premier Division campaign.

“We’ve got 18 or 19 available to us now and that’s a nice number,’’ he said.

“We’re speaking to a couple of others but we are aware that there is always fallout from clubs when players start reporting back for pre-season so we’ll see. If anybody becomes available that we’d be interested in we’ll look at it.’’

Dunton, 21, helped Cirencester earn promotion from Division One South & West last season and played more than 150 games for the Corinium Stadium men.

England Futsal captain Ballinger returns after a spell away, including playing for Paulton Rovers.

Collier added: “I’ve seen a lot of Dunton and he’s a very good footballer. He’s two-footed, strong, has a long throw, everything. Ballinger can cover various positions and the important thing is they both wanted to come to the club.’’

The Southern League fixture list is due to be published on July 17, two days after Town begin their pre-season campaign at Shrivenham.

The situation has been complicated by the demotion of Conference side Hereford to the Southern League top flight – subject to conditions – while Salisbury, already demoted to Conference South, could be ejected from that level totally if debts are not paid by early July.
