WILTSHIRE gave themselves the perfect platform to go on and claim a third successive Unicorns Championship Western Division victory after blitzing through Berkshire's second innings on a rain-affected second day at Falkland today.
The visitors had their hosts in deep trouble at 86-8 at stumps, a lead of just 54 heading into the final day.
Wiltshire themselves entered day two with their hopes in the balance, having reached 118-5 at the close of day one replying to Berkshire's 282 all out.
But they responded in fine style, despite a two and a quarter hour rain delay, to post 314 all out, a slendder lead of 32 runs, with Tahir Afridi hitting an unbeaten 70.
Afridi, with 3-24, then played a central role in reducing Berkshire to leave his side in with a great chance of sealing another victory.
