CRICKLADE gymnast Laura Halford clinched her third medal of the Commonwealth Games this morning as she finished third in the individual ball final in Glasgow.

The 18-year-old, who had already gotten her hands on team silver with Wales and bronze in the individual all-round final, continued her stunning major competition debut with a third-placed finish with the ball, racking up 14.550 points.

Wiltshire star Halford finished narrowly behind Welsh team-mate Frankie Jones, who took silver as Patricia Bezzoubenko won gold.

Meanwhile, Halford also finished fifth in the individual hoop final (14.250) and eighth (12.850) in the individual ribbon final today.
