BATH fought out a 26-26 draw with Welsh region Scarlets in their opening pre-season game at teh Rec yesterday.
The home side opened the scoring after 20 minutes when Olly Woodburn scored in the corner following a strong scrum.
David Sisi broke through the Welsh line to set up Ben Williams for the second Bath try, Gavin Henson adding the extras.
Scarlets responded just before half time as flanker Rob McCusker crossed, fly-half Steven Shingler adding the conversion.
New signings Henry Thomas, Luke Arscott and Grant Shiells all appeared for Bath in the second period, but Scott Williams dived over for the visitors and Shingler's conversion put them ahead for the first time.
Woodburn pounced on the ball to go the length of the field to score his second, Henson converting, before fine work from Henson, Semesa Rokoduguni and Matt Banahan, sent Rokoduguni over, Henson's extras making it 26-14.
Scarlets hit back as James Davis went over, Shingler's kick bringing them to within five before Aled Davies went over from close in, Shingler's potentially winning kick flying wide.
