TROWBRIDGE Rangers had the edge on local rivals Trowbridge Wanderers Reserves, a 2-1 win chalking up their first victory of the season.

Jack Heard gave Wanderers the lead, but Sam Miller’s free kick levelled and a Nick Jones own goal decided it.

Bradford United Reserves were defeated 4-1 by Holt, despite taking the lead through Ashley Styles.

Zack Manna levelled and Matt Woodhead put Holt 2-1 ahead before half time, Bradley Godridge and a second from Manna wrapping up the points.

United FC welcomed Heytesbury but were put to the sword 7-1 by the village side.

Leigh Kennedy was the star of the show for Heytesbury, scoring five and creating one for his team, his cross picking out Kieron Edwards to head home the opener.

Jacek Kapelva’s own goal completed Heytesbury’s tally, Miroslaw Jszpelkat scoring for United.

Westbury Town continued their 100 per cent start against Worton & Cheverell with an emphatic 5-2 win.

Phil Hampson and Scott Walford netted the first-half goals that set up victory number three, Hampson bagging a further three in the second half.

Adam Bewley scored both for Worton. Last season’s Division Three champions White Horse thrashed Calne Eagles 6-0 in their first game of the season.

Stuart Barber, man-of-the-match Marek Miszta, Dale Rowland, a brace from midfielder Darren Fryer and sub Steve Munday’s strike wrapped up the scoring.
