Nick Blackwell's October 4 bout has been shelved
NICK Blackwell's upcoming fight in Kent has been called off.
The Trowbridge middleweight was set for his first outing under the Hennessey Sports banner at the Glow events centre, part of the Bluewater shopping complex, on Saturday October 4.
But with headliner Bob Ajisafe pulling out of his televised MaxiNutrition Knockout final against Travis Dickinson with an injury, next month's show has been cancelled.
Blackwell, 23, is expected to confirm a new date for his first fight under promoter Mick Hennessey in the coming weeks.
