FORWARDS dominated proceedings in a tight derby were many of the points came from infringements.

The forwards’ battle continued in much the same vein in the second half with replacements called on to reinforce the effort, including Scott Davis and Adam Pegg for Melksham. The changes paid dividends and Melk-sham were next to strike.

But Melksham worked the ball out wide for winger Rory Mulgrew to show his pace and score out wide.

Trowbridgepegged back another penalty to get themselves back into the game but Melksham held on to win.
