FRESHFORD United take over at the top after a 5-3 win at North Bradley.

Bradley were one-up in the opening five minutes through Jamie Young but Nick Ross squared things up before Tom Rooney and Gavin Eyre put Freshford 3-1 ahead at the interval.

Steve Roddy’s double made it 5-1 before Scott Askew and Dean Ranger made the scoreline look respectable.

With Castle Combe’s match away at Steeple Ashton postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Bradford United had the chance to claim to claim outright number one spot in the division, with Hilperton United standing in their way.

Bradford who went into the game having won all four matches to date suffered their first loss. Hilperton United beat them 3-1 despite going a goal behind through James Kellam.

Bradley Witham, Jason Rose and Dean Coles replied to deny Bradford top spot.
