CHIPPENHAM Town boss Mark Collier will be looking forward to some home comforts as they return to Hardenhuish Park for the first time in five games.

Town are proving a difficult team to beat as they extended their run of draws to five games on Monday.

However the Bluebirds boss has to juggle with a squad riddled with injuries and suspensions.

Defender Matt Coupe and midfielders Jordan Roberts and James Guthrie all miss this weekend’s match with St Neots Town through suspension, while Luke Ballinger is away on international Futsal duty and Conor McCormack and Ryan Campbell injured.

Having gone a month without tasting victory, Collier is hoping that the familiar surroundings will help convert those draws into three points.

“If you are looking for unbeaten runs then we are on a very good one,” said Collier.

“Though we would have liked to have turned a few of those draws into wins. Our philosophy has always been if you can’t win the game then take the point from it.

“We are proving very difficult to beat and we are moving in the right direction.

“At all my clubs I have wanted to play expansive football but sometimes you have to make sure you are doing the basics right at the back.

“We have a few injuries and suspensions at the moment which makes things a lot more difficult because we have not had a settled team.

“We are looking forward to being back at Hardenhuish Park, it feels like a long time since we played at home.”

Chippenham captain Alan Griffin put the visitors in front after nine minutes at Hitchin on Monday, his first goal after a long-term injury.

The Canaries levelled seven minutes into the second period when Johnny McNa-mara fired home across keeper Kent Kauppinen.
