FC BRADFORD made the most of FC Lacock’s slip up at home to Corsham Park with a 5-2 victory at Evana Designs that moved them three points behind Division Three leaders Grapes United, who were without a game following the recent withdrawal of Club 54.

Jimmy Meade scored the opening two goals for Bradford and Mark Robinson’s hat-trick made up the five. Jonny Telfer’s thunderbolt and Milo Pearson deflected effort were in vain for Evana.

Westbury Conservative Club saw their four-match winning run come to an end at Cannings Rangers.

However, a 1-1 draw saw the Cons’ Club stretch their unbeaten run to six games and the draw for Cannings saw them make it three games on the bounce with no defeat.

Stewart Beaven gave Cannings the lead which was cancelled out by Will Worley goal for the Cons’ Club.

Corsham Park claimed the result of the day with a 6-1 victory at FC Lacock, who started the day in second spot but finished it in third as Corsham proved that their 2-1 victory over the villagers in early October was no fluke.

Kadir Ayhan bagged himself a hat-trick with Simon Young, Mike Wilkins and Darren Applegate sharing the others. Josh Hard replied for Lacock.

With their pitch at Cuttle Lane unplayable Stonewood Sundays (BFC) switched their game to Lambrok Road, home of opponents Trowbridge Wanderers (Sunday).

Despite falling behind to a superb Tom Mann lob they recovered to run out comfortable 6-2 winners. Mike Flynn’s double and singles for Mark Coles, Andy Flynn, Mike Hopkins and Dan Lardner making up the six. Natty Mills scored a second for Wanderers.
