TROWBRIDGE'S Chris Stokes went straight into Coventry City's starting line-up for yesterday's 2-2 draw with Sheffield United after joining the League One outfit on a month's loan from Forest Green Rovers.
The 23-year-old full-back played 73 minutes at Bramall Lane before he was withdrawn for Ryan Haynes.
Stokes, who started his career as a trainee at Bolton Wanderers, spent last week on trial with the Sky Blues and after also training with Yeovil Town, the former Trowbridge Town and Trowbridge Wanderers player had also reportedly been attracting interest from League Two outfits Newport County and Stevenage.
The defender, who was handed Coventry's number 30 shirt, has been reunited with former Forest Green manager Dave Hockaday, who is now a development coach at the Ricoh Arena.
