CORSHAM Centre Youth saw their hopes of winning the Division Two title blown away by Ben Redford’s Bremhill View outfit.

Bremhill, thanks to a thumping 6-1 triumph, became the first side in 29 attempts to defeat a Corsham side that romped to the division four title last term.

More importantly for Redford’s men, they now lead the way in the race to becoming champions after extending their own unbeaten run to fourteen matches.

Goals from Kieron Gleed and Jake Gleed got Bremhill off to the perfect start and although Ben Thomson halved the deficit, Bremhill had the game under control and once Matty Jenkins added a third for the Calne-based side before half-time, the victory was in the bag.

Three-one down at the break, the Centre fell further behind as Steve Allison netted a brilliant overhead kick.

Jenkins scored his second of the morning and Mark Dolman completed the rout.

Bath Road came away from Buckley Barracks with maximum points in the bag following their 2-1 victory over local rivals Oakhill.

Matt White’s goal for Bath Road separated the teams at half-time and Rich Hudson made it 2-0 before Clint Couzens scored from the penalty spot to hand Oakhill a lifeline.

But his effort was little more than a consolation as Bath Road held on to complete a double over their rivals.

FC North Wiltshire bounced back from last week's surprise loss away at basement side White Horse B with a 12-2 win away at The Mallard, who have now lost five on the trot.

North Wilts started the game with 10 players but took the lead when Scott Austin chased down a long ball and calmly slotted home.

Mallard squared things up through Lee Cradock but James Bamford, who missed the start of the game, put North Wilts back in front when turned in a Stuart Donnelly assist.

Dan Gilbert swept the ball home from the edge of the area following a corner for 3-1 before Dan Deacon scored number four.

Deacon had a hand in setting up Dan Kelly for North Wilts' fifth prior to Andy Adams' effort deflecting in off Stuart Langer to give Mallard their second.

North Wilts flexed their muscles in the second half as they hit seven more unanswered goals, Bamford completeing his hat-trick whilst Kelly, Austing and Deacon also added to the rout.

The scoring was completed by Dave Mullins, whose low shot from the edge of the area made up North Wilts' dozen.

Worton & Cheverell  suffered another setback to their hopes of finishing in the top two after they were held to a 2-2 draw by basement side White Horse B.

However things could have been a lot worse for the promotion hopefuls, who were two down at the break before turning things around in the second half.

Conner Wordley put White Horse in front and a delicious left-footed finish into the right hand bottom corner from Chris Adams doubled their advantage before half-time.

Worton got themselves back in the game via Jon Cole and with less than 10 minutes remaining, Kyle Davies popped up with the all-important equaliser for Danny Williams' side.
