FOLLOWING back-to-back defeats against Corsham Park Rangers which saw them lose their 100% home record, Westbury Conservative Club got back to winning ways.

A 3-2 victory over Division Three promotion hopefuls FC Bradford was undoubtedly the result of the day as Bradford had hammered 8-1 when the teams met at the start of the season.

Ashley Styles' first-half goal gave Bradford the lead and it looked as if it would be business as usual for Wayne Duggan’s side, however the Cons’ Club turned things around in the second half, Tom Brunning and Frankie McEntegart scoring to put the hosts 2-1 in front.

Bradford drew level through Harry Hamlin who scored from the penalty spot and although they had the initiative it was the Cons’ Club who came up trumps with an all-important third and winning goal, Tom Brunning claiming his second of the morning to secure a famous win for the hosts which has left their opponents' chances of promotion hanging in the balance and reliant on other results going in their favour.

With their pitch at Beversbrook unplayable, Cavalier FC switched their penultimate league match of the season to Christie Miller, home of opponents Evana Designs and they were rewarded for their efforts in getting the game played as they returned back to Calne with all three points in the bag following a narrow 2-1 success.

Jacob Applegate was on target for Evana in the first half to cancel out Declan McEniry’s goal for Cavalier and it was left to player/manager Andy Holman to seal victory for his team with his first goal since last September.

FC Lacock may have dropped out of the promotion race a few weeks ago but the villagers would have been happy with a 2-1 win at home to Cannings Rangers which saw them end a four-match losing run and avenge their 4-2 loss to Rangers from earlier in the season.

Josh Hard scored both goals for Lacock, his second coming late in the game after Carl Jacobi had squared things up for Rangers in the first half.
