CORSHAM Town recovered from an awful start to collect all three points in a 4-2 win at home to Ashton & Backwell United in midweek.
Trevor Rawlings’ side were two goals in arrears early on but Levi Cox hauled them back into the contest before the break.
Further goals from Cox, Jason Henley and Dan Lardner then turned the game in Town’s favour, before a late Ashton strike set up a tense finale.
Boss Rawlings said: “After the first 25 minutes it didn’t look very good. We were 2-0 down and not in the game. They started very well and were all over us.
“We got back into it and got a lifeline before halt-time when Levi scored and dominated the rest of the half.
“We started the second half in the same way and we scored two quick goals to go 3-2 up and then got a fourth.
“They then had a guy sent off with about 15 minutes to go and that reinvigorated them. They got a goal back and it made the finish a bit edgy but we held on and the most important thing is that we got the win.”
Corsham were beaten 2-1 away at Calne Town last Friday and are back in action when they host Radstock Town on Saturday.
