TITLE holders Holt have the chance to retain their crown in the final of the county men’s triples competition as they take on Wootton Bassett, who will supply both finalists in the fours final.

Holt trio Wayne Simmonds, Wayne Snook and Ben Gadd face James Nobbs, Chris Cheesley and Gary Morphet, while Kyle Anderson, Dave Snell, Dave Godwin and Steve Snell will do battle against their Bassett club-mates Barry Sictorness, John Williamson, Chris Cheesley and Gary Morphet.

Holder Wayne Simmonds is still on course to retain his title after brushing aside Swindon Town Gardens’ Tom Pittuck 21-5 in the last 16 at Wootton Bassett on Monday night.

Chippenham Town’s Simmonds has been drawn against Bassett’s Dave Godwin in the quarter-finals on July 6.

WILTSHIRE LADIES recorded their first Johns Trophy victory of the campaign, registering a 126-95 success over Herefordshire at Devizes.

Wiltshire took the honours on all six rinks in the inter-county championship match to take a maximum 22 points after leading from start to finish.
