CHIPPENHAM Town have moved to bolster their injury worries by signing two midfielders from Bath City on month-long loans.

Bluebirds boss Mark Collier has brought in 26-year-old former Swindon Town man Chris Allen, who he worked with both in Swindon’s youth set-up and at Swindon Supermarine in 2010, as well as fellow City midfielder Louis Perry.

In-form striker Andy Sandell is set to miss Chippenham’s Bank Holiday double-header against Dorchester Town and Hungerford Town with a knee injury whilst Collier could also be left light up top as he has doubts over Ashan Holgate (ankle) and Lee Phillips (dead leg), as well as defender Greg Tindle, who also has an ankle knock.

Meanwhile, the Bluebirds’ trip to local rivals Frome Town in first qualifying round of the FA Cup has been brought forward 24 hours to Friday, September 11 to avoid clashing with the Frome agricultural show on September 12.
