Izzie through to nationals

IZZIE Earl Higgs has qualified for the national grade two trampoline finals after winning a bronze medal at the latest grade two event in Gateshead.

Izzie, a member of the Wiltshire and Somerset-based Evolution club, will now travel to Hull at the end of the year to take on the top bouncers in the country.

Her Evolution team-mate Beckie Kingsnorth finished fourth at the weekend after a solid display in the final.

Pete Cracknell and Simon Baxter both retained their grade two status. Pete finished the boys' competition in fourth place, with Simon just failing to qualify for the final.

Rhianna Andrew was placed 13th out of 60 competitors, while Chloe Hendy just missed out on a final berth.

Head coach Sarah Hunt said: "We are really proud of all the competitors and especially thrilled for Izzie going to her first national finals."
