FROME Town have further bolstered their squad with two new additions arriving at the end of last week.

Nick Bunyard has overhauled the Robins squad since taking over from Adrian Foster in late August after a disappointing start to the season, with Nathan Summers and Jake Jackson the latest players to arrive at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium.

Defender Summers joins from Hereford, having previously played for Plymouth Argyle before joining the newly-formed Bulls in the summer.

Striker Jackson arrives from Southern League side Yate Town. He netted 23 goals last season and has already hit the back of the net five times for the Bluebells in 2015-16.

There is further good news for the club as fellow forward Liam Monelle has turned down a move to Mangotsfield United.

Meanwhile, Corby Moore looks likely to have played his last game for the Robins as it appears a deal to extend his loan from Forest Green Rovers will not be sanctioned by the National League side.

Frome’s trip to Cambridge City in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division was postponed last Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch.

The game was called off after an early morning pitch inspection and will now take place on Wednesday, January 27.

The Robins will look to continue their recent renaissance under Bunyard this weekend when they go in search of a place in the first round proper of the FA Trophy.

Town play host to Southern League Premier Division rivals Chesham United in the third qualifying round at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium.

It is their first fixture since overcoming Slough Town 2-1 in the previous round a fortnight ago.
