THE last time White Horse (Sunday) A were in Chippenham League, Premier Division action was before Christmas when their fought out a 1-1 stalemate with Cons FC.

A first game in 2016 for Clive Black’s side just happened to be against the same opponents and another fiercely-fought encounter was just edged by Cons, who took the spoils thanks to a 3-2 win.

Scott Nash put Cons in front after being played in by Josh Mannings.

Nash made it 2-0 with a goal of his own doing, the forward burst through the White Horse defence to double Cons lead.

Mark Reynolds' goal prior to half time gave White Horse a glimmer of hope.

After the break Nash completed his hat-trick with another well taken goal, this time Harry Myles provided the assist.

Nick Mead scored a second for White Horse but his goal was a case of too little, too late as Cons held on for victory.

Defending Premier Division champions Corsham CC Wildcats had their first outing since late November when they welcomed basement side Westbury Rangers to Biddestone Sports Ground and a 12-1 success over Shaun Gardiner’s visitors made it look as though they had never been away.

Goals from Adam Mitchell, Leigh Rogers and Dan Sibley put Wildcats 3-0 up before Nick Chandler put through his own net to give Westbury a first-half consolation.

Sibley made it 4-1 after the break and a three-goal blast from Mitchell took it to 7-1.

Sam Thomson, a double for Darrin Moss and two further goals from Mitchell which took his personal tally for the game to 6 made up the Wildcats' dozen.

Local rivals AFC Melksham and Melksham Cosmos met at Christie Miller with the former running out resounding 10-0 victors that takes Mike Rogers' title hopefuls up to third place in the standings behind the Castle FC and leaders Goatacre.

A goal each for Sean Fordham, Ian Dowell, Jordan Kirk, Dave Macey along with a Callum Demkiv double put Melksham 6-0 up at the break.

Demkiv went on to complete his hat-trick in the second half, but he was outscored by Fordham who fired home three second-half goals to take his tally for the game to four.
