FOREST AFC may have won just three of their 20 Division Three fixtures last term, but with two of them coming again Evana Designs - now AFC Rowde - Lee Fordham’s side would have been relishing their first meeting between the teams this season.

Things turned out better than anyone could have expected as Forest romped to a 9-2 success which saw them claim their highest league win.

Danny Ashwood’s header from Matt Carroll corner put Forest ahead, Brently Roberts with two put them three up before Owen Thomson replied for Rowde.

Callum Grant, who was also the provider for Lee Fordham and Paul Cuthbertson, added a goal each and Brently Roberts added three more to his first half double to claim a five-timer. Troy Thomas added a second for Rowde.

Faded FC opened their league account with an 8-1 victory at North Star Club and the Trowbridge side were in the goals once again thanks to a 9-0 triumph over Calne United.

Faded never really looked back after Dan Jones and Matt Minnis with a brace had given them a 3-0 half-time lead.

The floodgates opened in the second half with Minnis going on to complete a four-timer. Rob O’Harrow, Pete Spong, Rico Witter and Naseem Abourachid shared the others.

White Horse (Sunday) B, who suffered an opening day loss against Box Rovers and were unable to raise a team last week, had a welcome boost this weekend as they claimed a 5-1 win over a Warminster Wanderers side, who had romped to victory in their opener a week ago.

A first goal for the club from Alex Newman put White Horse ahead in the 29th minute. Jake Sainsbury then opened his account for the club with two goals prior to half time for a 3-0 lead.

The second half saw Nick Mead score twice to make it 5-0 before Nathan Cullum scored a late consolation for Warminster.
