FROME Town manager Josh Jeffries endured a frustrating Tuesday night as he watched his team lose 3-0 away to Dorchester Town.

To add insult to injury, the Robins were reduced to 10 men early on before Jeffries was sent to the stands himself in the latter stages of the game.

Frome were 2-0 down at the break and were also a man light when Corby Moore was sent packing for two bookable offences.

It then went from bad to worse when the visitors conceded their third of the night.

Jeffries admitted his team weren’t good enough in the first half and despite improving, it was too little too late.

“Unfortunately it was frustrating and we didn’t play well enough in the first half,” said a frustrated Jeffries.

“I had to come in and give them a few home truths and let them know that I wasn’t pleased and that it wasn’t acceptable.

“The second half we were much better but the damage was already done, but if we played like that for the 90 minutes, we might have won the game.

“To go to ten men and to be 2-0 down it was too much of a mountain to climb, you can’t play for 45 minutes and expect to win a game.”

The sending off was a debatable one for the Frome boss, who disagreed with countless decisions and eventually took a step too far which resulted in him being sent to the stands.

“The red card is a hard one, he got booked for being frustrated with the ref, I don’t think they realise if they make a poor decision it can have an impact,” added Jeffries “Five minutes later, he got a second yellow and he is off the pitch, for the second one, to me, it looked like he had been caught.

“I felt the referee made the wrong decision again, but when he has come over I asked him why he made that decision “I didn’t raise my voice towards him and for whatever reason he decided to send me off.”
