JUST a few weeks after they suffered a 5-3 loss at Division Two table-toppers The Dursley Arms, Cavalier once again succumbed to the title favourites, who ran out 2-1 winners thanks to a brace from Leon Greenland after Matthew Hale had volleyed Cavalier ahead.

Christian Malford came back from a goal down to thrash Westbury Conservative Club 5-1.

Owen Hunter gave Westbury the lead before Ashley Fletcher levelled matters. Matt Webb put Malford into the lead on 65 minutes before Fletcher netted three more to complete the win.

The Mallard ran out 6-4 victors at FC Pig and Whistle. Dan Waylan and a Dan Moore penalty gave the hosts a 2-0 lead before James Terry reduced the arrears.

Moore restored the hosts’ advantage before a Shaun Heathcote own goal and Jason Hudson effort saw the teams go in at the break level.

Mallard then fired a second-half treble for Malford to take his tally to four before Moore completed his hat-trick for Pig to make it 6-4.

Third placed, FC St George dropped their first points of the season after being held to a 2-2 draw by second placed Semington.

Dean Shaw gave Semington the lead before Craig Sheppard levelled. After the break an Andy Harrison penalty restored Semington’s lead only for Sheppard to strike again.

FC North Wiltshire ended a four-match losing streak when defeating Old Road 3-0 thanks to goals from Eusablo Titus, Max Hardman and Nick Beardmore.
