BREMHILL View remain top of the Shoestrings chargrill-sponsored Chippenham and District Sunday League Premier Division courtesy of their 7-2 victory away at Audley.
Keiron Gleed’s first-half double and a Billy Gleed strike gave Bremhill a 3-0 interval lead, and then Caner Ozkaya and Jamie Crump drilled home stunning long-range effort to make it 5-0 before Kieron Gleed completed his hat-trick.
Ben Hibberd volleyed home from 10 yards get Audley on the scoresheet, but their joy was short-lived as Billy Gleed made it 7-1, with Andy Rose notching another consolation effort.
Defending top-flight champions Melksham Town put themselves back in the title race with a 1-0 triumph away at Corsham Youth.
Keeper Craig Rees had an excellent first half for Melksham as he kept out everything Corsham threw at him and his opposite number James Lye was inspirational but couldn’t prevent Dan Sibley from netting a second-half winner.
