BREMHILL View picked up a massive three points on Thursday evening when they came from behind on three occasions to beat fellow Premier Division title hopefuls Somerford FC 5-4 on the 3G pitch at Stanley Park.

Bremhill fell behind to goals from Stuart Field who headed in from a corner and Josh Hughes but were given a lifeline prior to half time when Kieron Gleed halved the deficit from the penalty spot.

A second from Gleed got Bremhill back on level terms, but Somerford took the initiative and regained the lead with Kent Kauppinen putting them 3-2 ahead.

Back came Bremhill and thanks to a third of the evening from Gleed parity was restored once more.

Somerford then took the lead for a third time courtesy of a second from Kauppinen whose goal with 10 minutes remaining looked to have won it for the villagers.

With one last throw of the dice, Bremhill’s manager Ben Redford threw on Eddie Summers and with his first touch he dragged Bremhill back to 4-4.

With time running out Redford’s men got their noses in front for the first time courtesy of Billy Gleed whose late, late goal earned the Calne-based side a huge victory in their battle with both Somerford and Melksham Town (Sunday) in the race to become top-flight champions.
