AFTER missing out on clinching the Division One title at the weekend when they drew 0-0 with Sutton Benger, Pheasant FC made no mistake on Thursday evening when they were crowned champions after coming from behind to beat FC Bradford 5-1, handing the Chippenham-based side the title ahead of pre-season favourites The Grapes United.
Bradford, who played really well in the first half, took a deserved lead when Mike Evans rifled home.
After the break, Pheasant spurred on by an inspirational half-time team talk from manager Del Llewellyn came to life once Richie Bolter had got them back on level terms.
Martin Riddell gave Pheasant the lead when he headed home his first goal of the season, Bolter thumped home his second to make it 3-1 and Max Wyatt added number four before Bolter completed his hat-trick.
