WILTSHIRE’S boys U10s recorded their first victory of the season on Sunday as they beat Gloucestershire by a narrow two wickets.

Bowling first, Wiltshire did superbly to dismiss Gloucestershire for just 52, with Sam Ashman, Finn White and Isaac Mears all taking two wickets.

In the run chase Wiltshire lost regular wickets but due to only chasing a small target it only needed two double-figures scores - from Rory Lyttle (10) and Flynn Gunston (10 not out) - to see them home.

The county boys U14s were also involved in a thriller on Sunday as they slipped to a narrow defeat to Devon.

Bowling first, Wiltshire restricted their opponents to 190-9 with Sean Montgomery and Ed Vickery both taking two wickets.

It all looked bad as Wiltshire slumped to 22-5 in their chase, and at 121-9 it was all but game over.

However, a 59-run last-wicket partnership enabled the county to get to within 10 runs before the last wicket fell.

Major contributions came from Ed Vickery with 59 batting at number nine and Callum Flay, who was 21 not out, batting at number 11 CricketFest 2017 will run over four weekends in June and July.
