CUMBERWELL Park professional Laurie Canter will be made to wait to tee off in the 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale on Thursday after being drawn in the final group out.
Canter, who booked his place at his second Open by coming through final qualifying earlier this month, will tee off at 4.16pm on the opening day alongside debutants Australia's Ryan McCarthy and Sebastien Munoz, of Colombia.
The 27-year-old, who missed the cut at his previous major championship appearance as an amateur at St Andrews in 2010, then goes off at 11.15am on day two.
Canter was continuing his preparations in the north west ahead of the Open, with a practice round this afternoon.
