HAVING won the third division title convincingly last season Box Rovers picked up where they left off from as they opened the new campaign in Division Two with a convincing 8-1 victory at Forest AFC.
Forest were 2-0 down after 35 minutes, but they pulled a goal back through Brently Roberts to leave it 2-1 at the break.
Box went through the gears in the second half to take the spoils. Justin Flowers netted a four-timer, Adam Taylor and Liam Fullam shared the others with two apiece.
Calne United played hosts to a Warminster Wanderers who battled their way to a thrilling 3-3 draw when the teams last met, however on this occasion the home team came out on top courtesy of a 7-4 triumph.
George Dolman, Alfie Bain and Cosmin Soreanu scored two each for the winners, with George Madden’s single making up the seven.
Wanderers’ goals came from Simon Millard, who scored a hat-trick on his debut, and Jamie Howse.
