FC LACOCK may have had reservations about moving into the top flight of Shoestrings-chargrill sponsored Chippenham Sunday League, but they kicked off their Premier Division campaign with a 3-1 victory at Westbury Rangers.
After an evenly matched first half, Westbury got their noses in front on 43 minutes when Marc Lanfear put them 1-0 ahead but Billy Gleed's hat-trick won it for Lacock.
A 14-1 demolition of Calne BFC saw Athleticow Moodrid bounce back from last week’s surprise Sunday Cup exit.
After Dean Taccuso’s opener for Moodrid, Jamie Walters helped himself to four, Joe Merritt, Adam Welch, Rory Collins and Jamie Wallen scored two each and Brad Whitbread’s single made up the tally.
