With Division Two pacesetters The Castle Devizes missing out on a game due to opponents Faded not being able to raise a team, Box Rovers made the most of their chance to return to the top of the table.
A 5-2 win at North Star Club means that they now head Warminster Wanderers by a single point.
After Jake Mizen had given North Star the lead, Adam Taylor, Emilio Mudrak and Rhys Lock twice put Box a 4-1 up at the break. Jake Gleed scored a second for the Star before Mudrak wrapped things up with his second of the morning.
The Melksham derby between Forest AFC and The Foresters Arms went the way of the latter who stunned their hosts with a 3-1 success to claim their first win of the season.
Tom Jones netted, with a goal each for Conner Church and Sean Horobin sealing the win. Luke Whittard replied for the Forest.
Warminster Wanderers remain in second but missed out on the chance to top the table after they were held to a 4-4 draw by Calne United.
Calne went into the break 4-3 ahead thanks to goals from George Dolman twice, Matt Fenn and Sorin Cosmin.
Alex Bates' double and Jamie House kept Wanderers in the game and they earned a share of the spoils thanks to a second from House.
