BRADFORD Town kept their promotion hopes alive despite a scare as they battled their way to a 4-3 win at home to rivals Bukland Athletic.

Danny Greaves and his troops remained in second place as they chase the remaining promotion spot from the Toolstation League Premier Division.

Buckland too have an outside chance but were dealt a blow as they were beaten by the Bobcats in an entertaining game at Trowbridge Road.

The hosts started well and took a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Will Hailston, Karim Rendell and Dan Cottle, before being pegged back to 3-2 at the break.

In the second half the visitors levelled as a defensive mistake cost Bradford, but a goal from Sam Jordan meant they kept all three points.

Town's next opponents, third-placed Melksham Town will go into tonight’s local derby at Oakfields on the back of a 1-0 win at home to Bridgwater on Thursday evening.

In Division One, Devizes Town completed a 3-0 win at home to Bishops Lydeard after Tom Slater bagged a bracein addition to Jack Hopps’ goal.

Calne Town were unlucky not to get something from their game with fourth-placed Cheddar, as they had to settle for a 2-1 defeat.

Calne’s Harry Spanton was more than happy to offer a helping hand to the officials, as he was roped in as a linesman after the official picked up an injury during the game.

Malmesbury Victoria also had a tough game at the weekend as they welcomed Radstock Town to the Flying Monk Ground.

However, like Calne, they were unable to get anything from the game as they were beaten 5-2 at home.

Corsham Town further relaxed their relegation fears as they recorded back-to-back wins with a 3-1 victory over bottom-of-the-league Warminster Town.

Warminster took the lead early on through Charlie Walton, before a trio of strikes from Robbie Tripp, Ben Wickens and Jayden Papy respectively saw them pinch the win.

Corsham return to action tomorrow night, where they will look to make it four games unbeaten away to Wincanton Town.

Warminster are also back at it tomorrow, they host Calne before tackling Bristol Telephones on Thursday.

Devizes will also be hoping for another win during the week when they visit Radstock Town, while Chippenham Park return to action after a weekend off tomorrow to face Cheddar.
