CHIPPENHAM Town have added their second fresh face of the summer as Yan Klukowski returns for a third stint at Hardenhuish Park.

The midfielder joins the club from Torquay United, after spending some of last season on loan at Kidderminster Harriers.

The 31-year-old started his career within the youth set-up at Chippenham, before playing for the Bluebirds in 2005, he then left and returned in 2009 before moving up the football ladder to represent the likes of Forest Green Rovers, Newport County and York City.

Manager Mark Collier believes his signing shows the calibre of player the club are now able to attract, as he joins striker Jack Compton as a new arrival at the club.

“Yan's signature shows how far we have come as a club in such short space of time, the players pedigree is undoubted, and he will add another dimension to the teams all round game," he said.

"He is a local boy who has real affinity with the club, his professionalism, experience, and quality all add up to being an outstanding addition to the current squad."

The Bluebirds have also added to their pre-season calendar as they have agreed to face Newport County at Hardenhuish Park on Saturday, July 14.

Town's pre-season fixture list also sees them host Swindon Town on Tuesday, July 17 (7.45pm) and travel to nearby Melksham Town on Saturday, July 21 (3pm).

The Bluebirds go to Cirencester Town on Tuesday, July 24 (7.30pm) and Yate Town on Saturday, July 28 (3pm).
